I have just read an interview with Ivanka Trump on Oprah.com where she shared some of ‚the bests‘ of her life. As the best advice, Ivanka mentioned: ‘Love what you do. There’s always going to be someone else who’s smarter than you, but there’s no substitute for passion. People who are passionate always work the hardest, and that sets them apart.’
This reminds me the best advice I got a few years ago: ‚Dagmar, don’t be a banker! Live through passion.‘
As a creative person, I have always been excited by aesthetics. Being a people person at the same time, I soon discovered my passion in helping people to look good and feel good about their appearance, about who they are and how they live. On top of that, exploring the world has been one of my dreams since my early childhood.
Keeping in mind the precious advice from Maureen Chiquet, CEO of Chanel, I have decided to marry the globetrotter, creative mind and the people person in one mission: the mission of helping women all over the world to change how they look and feel about themselves. Therefore, supporting women to uncover their true beauty, make them shine, feel confident and comfortable in their own skin is where I believe my mission in life lies and where I want to contribute to give something back to this world.
The power of passion is truly magical! It’s empowering, energising and driving us forward. I definitely agree with Ivanka Trump that passion sets us apart. It’s what directs us and tells us whether what we do makes sense or not.
I wish you all find your passion in life and experience the feeling of doing what you love & loving what you do!
